Highway, Tollway & Roadway Design

We can’t claim all, but some very important roads lead back to CP&Y
Our long history of design achievements on highways has earned CP&Y a coveted spot on the TxDOT short list of most trusted engineering firms. Our engineers are responsible for some of the largest highway projects awarded by TxDOT throughout Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio and Houston, along interstates 30, 10, 35, 820 and 635. However, CP&Y also designs smaller projects such as utility relocation, traffic signals, and city street improvements.

In addition, other major projects including urban freeways, highways, and roadways have been designed for HCTRA, NTTA, ODOT, OTA, numerous counties, and countless cities across Texas and Oklahoma.

Our rural highway experience includes design of four-lane divided highways, farm-to-market roads, shoulder widening and safety enhancement projects.

CP&Y is often asked to investigate the feasibility of new and/or widened highways, determine the most cost-efficient and publicly acceptable routes, and develop the early schematic highway plans for these facilities. Our flexibility with highway design combines sensitivity to a local area’s current needs while accommodating its future traffic demands.

Our street and highway engineering services include:

• Rural
• Urban
• Multilevel Interchanges
• Advanced Planning
• Corridor Analysis
• Route Studies / Schematic Design
• Feasibility Studies
• Traffic Engineering
• Hydraulic / Hydrology Studies
• Utility coordination and design
