Temple Outer Loop Roadway Improvements: Phase 3B

Since 2010, Temple has had a population growth of 13%. With a steady job market increase of 2% and an unemployment rate average of 3.4%, Temple has grown and developed with new businesses and homes being constructed in record numbers, especially West Temple.

Recognizing a need for a corridor in West Temple, the City Council approved construction of the Outer Loop Roadway Improvements - Phase 3B, with a construction cost of $5 million. Phase 3B represents part of the six-phase Outer Loop project which will wrap around West Temple and includes connection points with IH 35 and North Industrial Park.

Our staff performed Phase 3B roadway improvements from just south of West Adams Avenue to Tarver Road, approximately one mile. The project consisted of roadway base and paving installation, site utility installation, testing and flushing of water systems, curb and gutter installations, sidewalk improvements, and electrical installation for street poles.

The Outer Loop Roadway Improvements will enhance mobility corridors to sustain growth and economic development in West Temple.
