Runway 7-25 Conversion to Taxiway H
CP&Y provided design and bid phase services for the Runway 7-25 Conversion to Taxiway H. The project involves the rehabilitation via mill and overlay of existing runway asphalt pavement, the addition of full-depth shoulder pavement, demolition of pavement east of Runway 16-34, installation of edge lights, taxiway pavement markings, and airfield drainage structures and pipes.
The construction support and construction management functions include full time construction inspection/ observation, quality assurance field and lab materials testing, as-built surveying, and coordination with various entities including the Federal Aviation Administration – Washington Airports District Office (FAA WADO), FAA Tech Ops, Virginia Department of Aviation, Henrico County Department of Public Utilities and Department of Public Works, and Commission (CRAC) staff. The project is estimated to be completed in 2020.
